I'm a student pursuing a doctoral degree in late medieval history. My main interests include but are not limited to Latin, Italian, cultural theory, educational curriculum, historiography, cognitive processes, language-theory, gender relations and THE WESTERN CANON (mwahaha); i am not particularly interesting, avant-garde or risque; My main hobbies include the exciting activities of cooking, baking, going to the gym, eating green apple-caramel lollipops, restaurant reviewing and acting as child-like and sassy as possible. I keep these entries from the years of my life - no matter how i feel about them today - available because i find it useful to revisit events i now interpret differently. My name is heather, i'm of Montreal and i was born in the nefarious, ominous year 1984.

Discouragement

He hasn’t decided what he will run in yet (and is looking for your feedback), but there is a distinct possibility that he will be seen running through the Montreal streets in his [...]

My apologies in advance

A while back i was re-reading through my blog posts and realized just how many of them were very thinly-veiled rants about my poor body image and dieting fiascos. I decided to refrain as much as possible from continuing this annoying habit.
Be ready for their continuation. This week-end i woke up and realized that considering [...]

The Prodigal Daughter

My parents are forever telling both myself and anyone willing to listen how “difficult” i am to get along with. There is some truth to this. I have not been at home a week and i am already tired of doing dishes for three people, cooking for more than one person, running around to get [...]
